Objective General English- by Dr.R.S.Aggarwal. This book is enough for your practice session. But you need at least 5 or 6 months. Objective English by Thorpe is a nice book for competitive exams but I suggest you should also read Objective General English by S.P. Bakshi and Hari Prasad.
